January 05 A FRESH NEW BEGINNINGAnother year come and gone.
For some a good year.
For some a bad year.
If you had a good year....there is a way to have an even better year this year..
If you had a bad year.... there is a way to have a better year to come...
Do you want to know how?
Really? Do you really want to know? Are you for sure certain you want to
know?
Well ok then..grab a cup o java, sit back and read on.......... We'll begin our quest from the Bible..
In 2 Corinthians 5:17 the Bible says:
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, old things have passed
away, behold all things have become new..."
Here in is the key to making a good year better, and a bad year better.
The key is to be "in Christ". This simply means to ask Jesus Christ into your
heart. It's that simple.
You then become "in Christ"
So, let's say you did that. You just invited Jesus Christ into your heart.
What does that mean to you now?
It means, that
1) you are now heaven bound....when you pass away, and some day you will..
(remember theres only 2 things that are for certain....death and taxes...),
You now will be escorted to the heavenly realm.
2) It means that God Himself lives with you and inside you.
Compare the scenario to a marraige. The joining of 2 people. You have just
been joined to God Almighty.
3)In doing that, God washes ALL your sins away as though you had never
in your life sinned.
You have become a "new creation in Christ"
You may have done some things in the past that you are not to proud of
and wish you could wipe them away.
Well....tada.....God did it for you if you have received Jesus into your heart.
Isn't that great news!?
It is now like you are an open canvas ready to be painted on in beautiful
colors.
Or compate it to a new born baby.
A new born baby has it's whole life ahead of it. Each one born into the world
paints on the canvas of its life what it will do or be with circumstances for and
against it of course.
And thats what you are now if you've asked Jesus into your heart.
Keep in mind that God is not a thought, or a whisp of air floating about.
He is an actual Divine Person who wants to have a one on one relationship
with you!
Thats what makes your new beginning so very exciting.
If last year was good for you, now you have the Father of all blessings with
you wherever you go. He loves to prosper his children, of which you now are
one of his children. You can now share that blessing back with Him.
Life is so much better shared with God.
If last year was pretty crappy for you, then rejoice!
This year you have God Almighty as your Father, Friend, Provider, Someone to
lead you in all your doings and goings. A Friend forever.
He can give you peace, joy, love, protection, provision.
Life is just better with Jesus!
And there's the secret to have a more fulfilling 2008!
December 30 A New BeginningDecember 30-07. Tomorrow is New Years Eve...almost another year has come and gone.
It makes one reflect on what we did or didnt do in this year.
Could I, should I have done this or that, or could I, should I not have done this and that?
What will be this next year? What battles won or battles lost will I engage in?
Should I? Would I? Could I?.............
 I would like to paint more this year. Maybe finish the waterfall painting to the right.
This painting bugs Ron. He likes it, but the little waterfall at the top looks suspended
in space.
Well...maybe I'll finish it this next year............
